Chelsea’s First Day

I’m very excited to have Chelsea Quinlan hired on as my part time office assistant. She started with me on Thursday, May 12th and we had a very productive and exciting day.

First was orientation to my home office, then special introductions to my kitty, Morgan. After that we got to work. She helped me finish up a job for Manulife Financial, added links to some great companies on my website in the Connections section and then started editing a job for NSLC.

That afternoon we headed out to Brigadoon Children’s Camp in Aylesford. If you don’t know about Brigadoon, you should definitely look it up. The story is very inspiring and the facility, although under construction, is well underway. We carpooled with Jenn Ross who is Brigadoon staff and then took a tour of the site.

We had to put on all of our safety gear, so here’s a photo of Chelsea rockin’ the hard hat! In the background you can see one of the five ‘cabins’ that are being built for campers, although I’d call them more of a lodge.
