Come together with a group of fun-loving women to enjoy a Walking and Yoga, girls-getaway! You’ll start and end your days with a guided yoga practice, but in between, you’re heart and mind will be rejuvenated by nature’s healing powers. As the scent of lavender and thyme waft through the air, you’re feet will take you along paths, trails and country roads to quaint French Villages, steeped in history and surrounded by natural beauty. You’ll explore the incredible French countryside, indulging in delectable French cuisine, paired with local wines. You’ll delight in the beautiful display of lavender elds in full-bloom, explore the most important market in Provence and kayak on the turquoise waters of the famous Verdon River. At the end of each deliciously energizing day, get a good night’s sleep at a local 4 star boutique hotel where you unpack only once for the entire trip.

Day 1 – June 29

Welcome to France!

You will be meet at the Marseille Airport by representative. Once you have collected all of your belongings, you will be transferred to your hotel in Greoux Les Bains, where you will stay for the duration of the tour.

Gréoux-les-Bains is an ancient Roman town with thermal baths, also popular for its hot springs. Located beside the Verdon river, west of the Lac de Sainte-Croix.

Day 2 – June 30

Afer your morning yoga session, you will take a short transfer to Valensole village. We will explore different parts of the area around Valensole village with a nice mix of gardens, wheat and lavender fields.

The countryside all around is beautiful, especially with the aromas of lavender and thyme wafting through the air. It confirms that Valensole is one of the most important producers of lavender in Provence. Valensole comes from the Latin words “vallis” and “solis” meaning the valley of sun.

End your day with a Evening yoga session

Day 3 – July 1

Start your morning with a yoga session before breakfast.

Private transfer this morning to the bustling hill town of Forcalquier with its weekly atmospheric street market, the nicest and biggest of Provence. You will climb to see the Mourres plateau, site of geological interest with its mushroom shaped limestone.

End your day with a Evening yoga session

Day 4 – July 2

Before your breakfast this morning, enjoy a morning session while the sun rises in the sky.

Today you will kayak along the river Verdon which winds its way along the Regional Natural Park of the Verdon. You will be able to admire plenty of magnificent scenery as you paddle through some beautiful protected wildlife reserves of the Gorges du Verdon in the heart of the Beaudinard Canyon located at the foot of a village named Montpezat. No kayaking experience necessary.

Should you wish not to participate in Kayaking, you can lounge at the hotel or various day trips can be arranged (at additional cost).

End your day with a evening yoga session.

Day 5 – July 3

Today is open for you to enjoy the day at leisure. Roam around the town of Greoux Les Bains, visit the local hot springs, restaurants, etc.. Or, we can arrange day trips or public bus transportation to other villages, such as Aix-en-Provence.

Day 6 – July 4

Start your day with a refreshing morning yoga session.

The group will transfer in the morning to Moustiers-Ste-Marie. Moustiers-Ste-Marie is one of the most beautiful villages of France. It sits below a narrow notch at the base of rocky cliffs and is located near the entrance of the Verdon Gorge.

The village hosts numerous craft shops and is a lovely place to wander around. Our walk will take us up the Roman path, returning the same way, enjoying the superb view at the top, all the way to Sainte Croix lake.

Wrap up your day with a evening yoga session.

Day 7 – July 5

Before your tour this morning, enjoy a morning yoga session.

After a private transfer to the lovely village of Quinson, we will take a superb walkway along the lower Verdon Gorge. This walkway follows an old canal previously used to carry drinking water to Aix en Provence. The views of the Turquoise Verdon are truly amazing.

Enjoy an evening yoga session to end your day.

Day 8 – July 6

Today is your last day in France (or choose to stay longer to visit the nearby Cote d’Azure including Nice and Cannes). There are no activities planned for the day. One group transfer will be arranged to Marseille to accommodate the most popular departure time. Transfers at other departure times can be arranged at additional cost for any time of day.
